Skills Assessment Assistance for Australian Migration
Your occupation title is the beginning of a skills-assessment enquiry, not the conclusion. The work you performed, qualifications you completed and evidence you can provide all matter. TILSAVV helps you understand assessment questions connected with your proposed migration pathway.

Choose the assessment purpose first
Skills assessments can serve different purposes. The assessing authority or program depends on the occupation and visa pathway. A qualification, occupational licence and migration skills assessment are different things. One does not automatically replace another.
We clarify why an assessment is needed, whether an existing outcome is suitable for its intended purpose and which authority’s current requirements must be examined.
Describe your actual work
Prepare an employment chronology covering dates, hours, remuneration and duties. Explain changes in role, leave and self-employment. Duties should reflect work you genuinely performed. Copying an occupation description into an employer letter can obscure rather than establish facts.
Bring references together with pay, tax, banking and other employment records. If an employer has closed or will not issue a reference, raise the problem before choosing an evidence strategy. Do not create substitute documents or unsupported statements.
TRA pathways for trade applicants
Trades Recognition Australia operates different programs. Its Provisional Skills Assessment and Job Ready Program have distinct purposes and requirements. The PSA is relevant to eligible recent international graduates and can be a prerequisite for the JRP. The JRP assesses applied skills through an employment-based process.
We help identify the published program requiring investigation and organise relevant records. A provisional assessment should not be described as a completed full assessment for every visa purpose.
Professional and other occupation assessments
VETASSESS assesses qualifications and employment for relevant professional occupations. Other occupations have different authorities and methods. The authority makes the assessment decision.
Gather qualification certificates, transcripts, course details where available, a CV and employment records. Include earlier assessments, refusals and requests for information so that advice begins with the full history.
Connect the outcome to your migration plan
A positive assessment does not itself grant a visa, establish every points claim or guarantee an invitation. Employment accepted for one purpose may need separate consideration for another. We explain the questions remaining after an outcome.
Agreed assistance may include occupation and pathway enquiries, evidence organisation, application preparation and review of correspondence. The scope and professional fees are explained separately from assessing-authority fees.
Common questions
Can you guarantee a positive assessment?
No. The relevant authority decides against its requirements.
Is RPL the same as a migration skills assessment?
No. Recognition of Prior Learning may relate to a qualification. Migration assessment requirements need separate checking.
Can you review an unsuccessful application?
Bring the decision and submitted material. We can examine the issues and explain the proposed scope for further work.
