300 Prospective Marriage Visa Assistance
Planning a wedding across countries involves more than choosing a date. Your proposed marriage, current relationship and immigration pathway need to work together. TILSAVV helps you understand the Subclass 300 Prospective Marriage visa before making commitments around an assumed grant.

A pathway for an intended marriage
The Prospective Marriage visa lets an eligible applicant come to Australia to marry their prospective spouse. The applicant must be outside Australia when applying. A later Partner visa is a separate application with its own requirements. The 300 visa does not itself provide permanent residence.
We assess whether this pathway fits your actual relationship and plans, or whether a partner pathway needs consideration. An engagement announcement alone does not answer the eligibility questions.
Explain your relationship and marriage plans clearly
Prepare a timeline showing how you met, how the relationship developed, meetings in person and your decision to marry. Identify evidence supporting those events. Wedding plans should be genuine and consistent with your circumstances.
Bring relevant celebrant correspondence, proposed arrangements and information about previous marriages. If a document is unavailable or a date is uncertain, explain that early. Avoid a narrative that available records do not support.
Check applicant and sponsor circumstances
We review the proposed sponsor’s status and relevant history, the applicant’s visa history, identity documents and any health or character issues requiring investigation. Previous sponsorships, dependent children and earlier relationship histories can be important.
Advice should address where you are now, whether you hold another Australian visa and whether planned travel could affect the process. A pending offshore application does not itself provide permission to enter or stay in Australia.
Plan beyond the wedding
A marriage ceremony is one milestone, not the completion of every immigration step. We help explain what needs further assessment after marriage, including a later Partner application, timing and supporting evidence.
Keep accurate records of shared life as it develops. Finances, living arrangements, social recognition and future plans may be relevant later. Record the actual circumstances rather than manufacturing evidence for an anticipated application.
What TILSAVV can do
Agreed assistance may include pathway assessment, an evidence checklist, document and statement review, application preparation and explanation of relevant next steps. The service agreement sets out the work and professional fees.
Start with passports, current visa information, a relationship chronology and intended marriage arrangements. We explain outstanding questions before you rely on a strategy or make major travel commitments.
Common questions
Does a 300 visa automatically become a Partner visa?
No. A later Partner visa application has separate requirements and costs.
Should we book non-refundable travel based on an expected grant?
A processing estimate is not a grant date. Discuss your immigration position before making commitments dependent on a decision.
Who decides the visa application?
Home Affairs decides. Our registered migration agent can assess your circumstances and explain relevant options.
