190 Skilled Nominated Visa Assistance

A state nomination can be an important step towards Australian permanent residence. Before you plan around an invitation, make sure your occupation, points claims and nomination strategy fit together. TILSAVV helps you work through the Subclass 190 pathway with an assessment grounded in your documents and circumstances.

What is the Subclass 190 visa?

The Skilled Nominated visa is a permanent visa for eligible skilled workers nominated by an Australian state or territory and invited to apply. It is a different pathway from an employer-sponsored visa. Meeting the visa criteria and being competitive for nomination are separate questions. A state may apply selection criteria beyond the federal visa requirements.

Start with a documented points position

A useful first assessment brings together your age, English evidence, qualifications, skills assessment, employment and relevant partner circumstances. The published points threshold is 65, but reaching it does not guarantee an invitation. Qualifying state or territory nomination contributes five points. A planned nomination should not be treated as an existing approval.

We help identify unsupported claims and questions that need investigation before information is relied on in a SkillSelect expression of interest. For example, a job title on a reference letter may need closer examination against the duties and dates shown in other employment records.

State nomination needs its own strategy

Your preferred destination is only one part of the nomination discussion. We look at the relevant state or territory program, occupation settings, any residence or employment criteria, selection process and commitments attached to nomination. Program availability can change. We do not promise a nomination place or advise you to relocate solely on an assumed invitation.

The practical aim is to understand which current programs warrant further assessment and what evidence each requires. An expression of interest, a state registration of interest where required, nomination and the visa application should be tracked as separate stages.

How TILSAVV can assist

Our proposed scope can include reviewing your visa history and occupation, examining your skills-assessment and English evidence, checking points claims, preparing relevant EOI or nomination material and assisting with an invited visa application. The agreed work and professional fees are documented before we proceed.

Bring your passport, current visa details, skills-assessment outcome, English results, qualifications, employment chronology and any previous EOI or nomination correspondence. Tell us about dependent family members and approaching document expiry dates.

Plan your next step without relying on a forecast

An initial consultation should leave you with a clearer evidence checklist and an understanding of unresolved issues. If a claim needs further support, it is better to address that early than build a strategy around an unverified total. Use our skilled visa points calculator as a starting estimate, then discuss the documents behind the number.

Common questions

Does 65 points guarantee a 190 invitation?

No. The threshold and selection for an invitation are different. State program requirements and selection also need consideration.

Can I apply without state nomination?

The 190 pathway requires state or territory nomination and an invitation. We can assess whether another skilled pathway deserves consideration.
